Minimal Catchuppery

Just a quick catch-up - days this week have gone to:

general hecticness of all the usual sorts including Drama, Creative Writing, Forest School, French, Dancing, Art, Guides and playing at N's and L's

one not-so-happy sleepover at ours involving syrup sneakage, subsequent spillage, consequent attempted washing of dressing gown, resulting wet floor and drippage in various locations, glass breakage, sofa cushion redistribution and much hoo-ha and not-so-very-quiet whispering in the small hours arrrrgggghhhhh.

one Lewes bonfire madness night, where I didn't have to go out for the whole thing, but actually it felt kind of odd not to, though I did see a lot of it when I went out to pick Freya up - she watched some processioning and fireworks down in Cliffe with her friend N and family

one easier sleepover at ours in which Piggy and Bun Bun had pizza, watched Despicable Me, played Cluedo and were good company

one Book Club that started with some quotations and affirmations to finish off our Growing Up theme, followed by Freaky Friday mime game, discussion of mystery books and then a possibly over-ambitious and hectic clue-solving activity, which proved confusing and tricky, but did have its highlights, especially K who persisted at a complicated code puzzle when everyone else had moved on, for the sheer satisfaction of solving it herself - they are a lovely bunch but there are a lot of them and it is tricky to ensure they keep listening to each other at times!
