Lovely sociable evening at Spring Barn Farm Park where we met up with C and co. for the last chance to go around the Maize Maze by torchlight this summer. It was one of those golden September evenings, glowing with autumn sunshine and friendship.
And Pimms!
J joined F on the jumping pillow, then we had vegan burgers, sausages and salad, J caught up with one of the chefs who he sort of knows, and a bit later in the maze, baby D decided his mum and mummy must have gone mad to bring him out to stumble around in a field in the dark but smiled indulgently most of the time. The girls enjoyed being the leader at various points and nobody tripped on the corn stalks.
Another Spring Barn trip was when we went up right at the end of the day after working to a deadline then spending ages putting leaflets in envelopes in the Post Office - was lovely to finally get there and meet up with C and co., F had been very patient about it all and was nice to see her patience rewarded with time there on the bouncing pillow, etc. Nearly left Dozy Mog behind!
We always play word games when we walk up there and back. We have one where you give a word as a clue and the other person has to guess, they can ask for another word but then get less points. We also still play the one where we describe something according to all 5 senses.
Also forgot to blog that we did a bit of a crystal growing kit - it was kind of pre-preparation so will have to go back to it and see what we're meant to do now.
Other than that, lots of board games, some fractions and decimals, Land Girls and Goodnight Sweetheart.
