Autonymous learning

Yes, we have an EOTAS Visit Report which spells autonomous wrongly. Bless.
It's very short and neutral in tone, noting our 'preference for individual learning at an individual pace, led by F as opposed to imposed education' and 'Autonymous (sic) learning is taking place at F's pace.'
Star Wars III is very very sad, a much better film than I and II. That sweet bright little boy turns into Darth Vader, barely human. I do love a good tragedy - he's like a Thomas Hardy character (Mayor of Casterbridge comes to mind) with that inevitability, as he unerringly makes all the wrong decisions, sometimes for apparently good reasons, trusts people who exploit his weaknesses, etc.
The weekend then: Star Wars III, Dr Who, some Barbie films. Not much to have to do at all, so that was lovely. A lot of relaxing around the house, F did some nice drawing and colouring, including a lovely picture of me and her together.
Started Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as current bedtime book, going down a treat!
Lots of my little ponies doing things too.


Monday
F made a kind of map of our house, and stuck one of my daily disposable lens case things on as a washing-machine in the kitchen bit. Also it has a front that opens and then the inside and then the back. It's lovely and there's so much thought in it.
She also got her lovely china tea-set out of the hamper and we had a tea-party with the ponies. Lots of careful pouring and serving and imagination.
Then we went up to Katya's for the afternoon, where much fun was had including splashing in a paddling pool, kicking a ball around, skittles, rackets, tree-climbing, Toy Story and all sorts. Had great chatting with Katya, the children's need for attention seemed to go in phases, so that we did have some reasonable stretches of not being bothered, followed by intense bothering periods. Ria has been given a school place in a school that is not Katya's choice at all, so we talked about that and how to deal with it. Talked a lot about only children having both listened to recent programme on Radio 4 and both being only children. Enjoyed the sunshine and some excellent Mediterranean picky bits food.

Today, just finished a partial delivery job, have rest to do for Thursday, but then some quite difficult work for rest of month I suspect.
And am looking forward as all addicts do to Big Brother starting on Thursday too.
My mum is here and we're going into town in a bit.
