Friday
In the morning, we got up late, F played with the MLPonies.
Ponies and F had conversation as follows, with F doing all voices:
Pony 1: I'm going out to be a schoolteacher today
Pony 2 (sternly): I thought you were a hairdresser!
F (slightly patronisingly to both): You've got just a bit mixed up there, haven't you?
F asked me exactly what 'gossip' is, so discussed that. She's generally asking about odd words she notices, quite a bit. She did a little bit of Education City and did some extraordinary pony hairstyles.
Late morning, we set off out to Brighton Museum to meet up with EOFFs or AFFs or IFFs (Every Other Friday Friends (copyright Nicronyms) or Alternate Friday Friends or Informal Friday Friends). Anyway, whatever you call them, we met up with them. The museum is great for art students I think, but not quite so good for a group of fairly young children, to be honest. It is weighted heavily to the arts and crafts - fashion/style/design - lots of furniture, ceramics, clothes - all a bit 'style over content' somehow.
Still, we went round, probably saw most of what is there, F wasn't interested in much at this time, stopped to look at a Saxon skull and also to see people talking about their relationships on video in another small room. She was on better form socially, which was positive. Had a bit of a wail about something but it was relatively minor and brief and partly induced by the sheer noise level in the Discovery Room. The kids enjoyed the picnic in the gardens, with pigeons and lady pretending to be a statue.
It was really nice to see everyone, didn't get much time to chat, but still nice - I do really like that small group - it seems to work well for the adults as well as the kids. Next AFF is a soft play, as most of our kids didn't get much from the museum, really. Might go to the Booth Museum with F at some point - also the museum in my mum's town is/was quite nice for kids, much more natural history stuff.
Thursday
I felt crap so we didn't do much, curled up on sofa to watch a film together at some point. Checked height of her sunflower shoot (17cm). Discussed a few meanings of words. F did lego quite intensively and intricately. Had a look at Education City for first time in ages.
Now having Rioja and relaxing. Not many plans for weekend, should be fairly relaxed.

no no no no no. The acronym thing WAS MINE. Bloody woman. Stealing my ideas. Can't she have any of her own??
I think she'll tell you that's not 'stealing' your ideas, that's 'capitalizing' on them (appropriately enough - see what I did there?). Anyway, she norty.
And how are you?
