Got up, watched a bit of Autumnwatch and we were oh-so-nearly ready to go out to group when F decided she absolutely had to make a map. Her burning enthusiasm for this project was convincing enough for me to go with it, so she made a map of our journey last Monday - a picture of our house, a line joining it to a picture of the centre where Monday group takes place, another line going to a picture of grandma's house. And then another line for our journey back straight from grandma's house to ours. So that took a while and also we had Writing Academy on and something about fractions and it was all just soooo nice that we ended up setting off very late indeed. When we did set off I was asked to count in tens and then in fives, then twos, threes, fours, tens again, twenties, hundreds, thousands and millions. Which brought us nicely and breathlessly to the bus stop.
We ate a couple of sandwiches on the bus and chatted about this and that. In Brighton waiting for the next bus, she asked how many minutes till it came (Brighton buses have electronic displays showing how many minutes till your bus will be here, with real-time updating) and then we talked about that as the number changed, and a man at the bus stop joined in a bit, pointing out when we'd got to half the waiting time, etc.
Group was great - F was away off doing important being a child stuff most of the time, though she returned to me to wolf down some stewed apple and soya yogurt.
On the way back we sat on the top - superb views in every direction on that journey down again.
When we got home, she watched a bit of children's telly and then made a disco dance floor for her Happyland people and got the Happyland mat out to implement such an enhancement.
We had J's excellent pasta for tea and all watched some more Dr Who and then I went to writing group which has only just resumed. It was nice to see everyone again and to be forced to actually write. Even nicer to find I'm not 'up' till week 4 and so have a decent period of time to write my next 5,000 words in. Phew.
A harmonious and lovely day.
Tomorrow we're at home, I'm working and yoga lady is coming, also possibly next-door teenage girl.
