Neighbours

This is going to be very brief as in the middle of large chunk of work.

M and the twins came over this afternoon, followed later by S and C. F and C are still getting on well. S is very stressed as getting married next Monday.
M was lovely as ever, we laughed and laughed and chatted and agreed we must see more of each other. I kind of think we might this time actually. She has just started an archaeology degree, having thought she would have to do an Access course first then finding out at the last minute that she could apply for a place on the degree course by sending a letter stating her reasons for wanting to do it. So she did and there she is! 6 years part-time. Fantastic, so happy for her!
The twins have grown (they do that) and were loads more verbal and up and down the stairs. F and S and M and I all did a jigsaw together.

Afterwards we all walked along to local shop together, C and F very 'together', with the running off, giggling, holding hands, etc. Had to remind F that we don't go in other people's drives (even if C does!).

Other things - F does a little bit of sewing every day at the moment and is getting better at it all the time - we have various kits, with quite a few items still to do. She is currently doing her second picture frame.

She hid various small chocolate Halloween items around the garden and gave me clues to find them, which was fun. We shared them out between us afterwards.
She's been playing with the ponies a lot again. I moved the remaining unpacked box in her room into a corner so that the playing space is better - J had done some similar sorting at the weekend.

She had a good go at reading the title of a story in a comic today, completely on her own initiative. She didn't get it right, which I felt really reluctant to tell her, but you know, she wouldn't have gone with that... She didn't seem too put off anyway.
Other things - she's been playing DS, watching Mona and Scooby Doo, playing a game where Dozy Mog does various things and she plays mum to his slightly annoying toddler, saying things like 'Oh you want the bear now, do you? Alright alright' in a strangely recognizable tone. Also lots of wanting to jump into my arms from the stairs/bed/sofa and have me then carry her to other sofa/bed and drop her.

M and twins are joining us for Trick-or-Treating tomorrow, which will be nice. C can't make it this time.
