Today
I offered F a few options for today and she decided she'd like to have a home day with laptopping and films - she has a snotty cold, not bad, but I think it was quite a sensible choice really. Had a nice cosy day. She did making up pony dances on the Hasbro site and got me to plan one and write down the move numbers in order, then she recorded it and played it back. In the afternoon we snuggled and watched a film. At some point she decided she was hungry and would make herself a sandwich - she chose raw mushrooms for the filling and demonstrated how she was squishing them to fit in. She also made herself breakfast yesterday I think, without any mess apparently. Generally, she is doing really well with food at the moment and is eating very good amounts of veg. in risotto, lasagne, pasta sauce, roast veg. etc. Another current favourite is apple sandwiches!
Chatted about all sorts but can't remember much: prices of things, coins and related number stuff; more Internet searching involving reading and writing.
Sunday we all went for a short walk. Started out along the side of the railway, noticing the bareness of everything, but the feel of how close spring is now. Saw crocuses out and a few snowdrops. Went through the allotments and marvelled at the variety of uses that same-size patches of land can get put to. Someone had seriously overestimated their brassica consumption on one side, while someone else was clearly mainly using their plot for use of an old climbing-frame and a barbecue. One plot was incredibly well-organized, with different crops at different stages, different growing methods and equipment for different items, labels and borders and raised beds! Quite a few people were out having a go at their patches after all the rain we've had.
Then we cut through down to the stream and played pooh sticks there for quite a while, trying different sizes of stick. Looked at large branches that had blown off in recent windy nights and generally enjoyed being out with no rain. The goats were out, and in a fairly sociable mood so we said 'hello' to them and hung around there for a while in the sunshine. We walked back along the bridle path, looking at all our neighbours' back gardens and houses and considering the merits of various layouts and extensions and stuff and then just stopped on the bench for a while looking down at the west of the town.

D, S and I had a lovely walk through those allotments last year marvelling at the different uses. It's so nice to read about you getting so much out of YOUR home and area :).
