Knock knock

Sunday:
was a day of pootling around. We watched some amazing snowboard racing on telly, F put together some lego track and had the trains out on it and drew track plans, earlier she asked me to write down a list of electrical items and did drawings next to the words. J and F watched some more Dr Who with the 'hide from scary bits' duvet. At one stage I looked over at them and they both had their cheeky noses just peeking over the edge of the duvet, looking very alike. F has also been perfecting her 2 knock knock jokes.

I've caught a few of the programmes that have been on BBC4 recently about recent political history. There was a good documentary about Greenham Common which really brought back memories. I never lived at the site, but did stay for a few weekends and went to some very memorable one-day protests there too. Can't believe it is more than 20 years ago.
Monday:
In the afternoon, Katya, Ria and Belle came over and we had a really nice afternoon. For the first time ever, the whole afternoon passed with barely a whinge nor a worrit from the children. Belle, who is nearly 3, enjoyed exploring and finding and fiddling. Ria and F interacted quite a bit, taking it in turns to play Wallace and Gromit and talking to each other about what they were doing, and all of them played with the Geomags a few times. When they were about to leave, Ria and F suddenly started tickling each other and got each other into an incredibly giggly state. Chip butties were eaten by Katya and me, with some deli bits and pieces and plenty of chat.
F is still doing quite a bit of casual maths, throwing questions at me or J and discussing the answers. She has also been playing with the lego track again, and does a bit of maths with the numbers of bumps on the lego bricks, which is fascinating, as that is something I used to do as a child too.
I have just finished a biggish job and am very tired and about to go to bed. Tomorrow we have MonsterTeeny visiting and Music and Movement after that.
