Thank goodness!
Next week should see a complete return to normality.
F has been:
making drawings in virtual snow using hoofprints in Barbie Horse Adventure
inventing names of bones of My Little Ponies - 'Her body bone is called an 'oowellala'', etc.
colouring in MLP pictures very carefully
sitting cross-legged a lot - very good thing for her to do in terms of symmetry/balance
doing things when asked, first or second time, without moaning much - including putting pen tops back on!
playing a duvet mountain game with neighbour's cat when she visited
playing XBox (Barbie Horse Adventure and Viva Pinata), playing with the MLPs, playing on CBeebies website, playing Zoombinis, playing Little Robots
doing yoga after a few missed sessions, and doing a tiny bit of Tai Chi with me (I got a DVD), but she puts in twirls to make it lovelier
doing more of her very long story with me - and when I had to pause, she asked me for the spellings and wrote 'STOP - BE BACK SOON' to show where we paused
talking about how she wants the reader/listener to feel in her story - she has a very strong sense of creating feelings in the reader, I was amazed at the way she talked about it, saying things like 'if someone reads this bit, they will be worried about the characters, and then in this bit, they will relax, and then I want to put a bit that makes them laugh'
telling other stories - one was about a man who bought dozens of animals and opened a zoo and his daughter wished she could talk to the animals and then was amazed when one spoke to her
sounding out and writing names of friends with help - thank goodness for Ady, she had real trouble with everyone else!

glad to hear you're coming through the other side of it all
Love the sound of that story creation together. Glad to hear you're on the mend.
