On the ascent

I think we're turning the corner of this effing virus.
F is in good form since the chicken pox ended - the last few days she's been eating well, thinking and coming out with lots of well-put questions/observations, seems to have regained liveliness and imagination after the low period of illness.
Today she has played with gears and made a small robot, done more of her story (on chapter 32 now), made up more dance moves and swim moves, played on CBeebies website, played Viva Pinata and recognized a few words by sounding and guessing, also named a few of her characters/pinatas again, gaining more familiarity with the on-screen alphabetical layout keyboard, which can only be a good thing. She has also played with her ponies in her room, arranging their funfair and repairing it when necessary and drawn pictures of pinatas and helper characters in one of her little books.
She has been eating proper food again after a bit of a phase of only wanting fruit, toast and cereal, today she ate lasagne, recently pasta and sauce, stir fry and a few other things. She has also been helping when asked (tidying, etc.) with barely a quibble, which is lovely. Today we sang half-made up songs together whilst tidying. She's very affectionate too. And sleeping well.
Enjoyed the Studio Ghibli films last week - recorded a few, watched them a few times already. I loved Castle in the Sky. F made a good observation about how often those films have characters that at first impressions seem to be baddies, but turn out to be goodies/friends. Also watching Dr Who episodes but not much else.
Really hoping to get a lot better over the next few days.

It's a knock-you-out and leave you coughing one. But it's on its way out.
*looks forward to Heroes*
Think we've got a Battlestar Galactica brewing nicely too.
