My girl is six

Wow! 6 whole years!
Bit overwhelmed by that somehow. She's great.
Hmm. My daughter.
She is, first and foremost, imaginative and inventive. Ideas burst out of her and she turns them round and plays with them all the time, makes stories, creates worlds. Her head is a busy wonderful place, wild and rich.
She is also bright, sometimes amazingly logical, good with numbers, loves words and has always taken odd bits of vocabulary from stories, films, telly and other people's conversation to play with, use, wonder about.
She is sometimes crazy, giddy, fidgety, forgets to listen, gets into a state and can't get out of it, needs a cuddle to calm her down. She is panicky sometimes, worries about odd things, has a button phobia and hates being hurried.
She has a difficult hand and foot, yet she climbs and bounces, loves to do those things, runs and jumps, swings high, dares and pushes herself, stretches and manages, amazes me.
She makes friends in an instant in a park, but can equally spend an hour forgetting her friends exist, lost in her own world, her own ideas and her own excitements. She likes company but doesn't often need it.
She adores Dozy Mog, gives him a 2-yr old voice and demeanour, makes him stroppy, noisy and tricky, deals with him as a loving mother, with slight exasperation but tons of love, makes him say 'bum' repeatedly, then asks him not to, teaches him 'words' and 'numbers', makes him get them wrong and loves him anyway.
She giggles, loves to laugh, loves crazy imaginings on trains, flights of fancy, distant horizons and extraordinary possibilities.
She is self-possessed, gorgeous and utterly herself.
