Where Friday went

Wednesday and Thursday passed in a couple of marathon working days, followed by various pre-birthday prep jobs and finally on Friday it was F's birthday!
She didn't wake up till 8, then came into our bed for a snuggle before we all came down - I still had to hoover and tidy a bit, so there was a bit of a wait and then the birthday officially started.
She opened one of her main prezzies for me - a My Little Pony surf shop - and was really thrilled as she had seen it in a shop and had thought she wasn't getting it (I had done some sneaking back). She then played with that for a couple of hours before being bothered about opening some more prezzies. Once she started again though, she got the unwrapping fever and ploughed through them a bit, stopping for short periods to play with various items - Nintendogs, 2 Cube World characters, Dr Who Shaker Maker (Tardis and Dalek), Dr Who activity book, Dr Who audio CDs, My Secret Unicorn books, Charlotte's Web DVD.

At midday J's dad Clive and his sister Jemima arrived and F opened her presents from him - A Winnie The Pooh complete edition hardback and Pinkie Pie's Balloon House (chosen by J online for him to give her).
Then we all went out to chase the local children's carnival up and down the twittens, finally catching it just before The Paddock, where we sat for a while, looking down the slope at the colourful array of costumes and flags - beautiful day for it too. Then F wanted to have a quick go on the playground at the bottom, so we went down that end - only 3 things to 'go on' there, but it's a lovely setting.

After that, we went back into the centre to have F's birthday lunch, which was lovely (I had wine so it must have been). F had pizza and banoffee pie with chocolate ice-cream, so was delighted. She also had her cubes with her so was fine between courses. Her 'new thing' is going to toilet on her own in restaurants, so she did that twice (each time one of us went soon after, just in case she might get lost or end up in Men's toilet, but she did fine - when I went up she was sitting on loo with door wide open chatting to some ladies about her birthday). I took up my 0.1% non-vegan option and ate honeycomb cheesecake which was delicious.
Just as we finished mum had arrived at the hotel over the road so we met up with her to walk back to the house. Back home, F opened her present from mum - Planet Protectors' spaceship with Nuts the monkey and Kat, protector of the land! Lots to look at and fiddle with, so F had a go at that, and we looked at photos and chatted for a short while before Grandpa Clive and Aunt Jemima had to go.

My mum stayed for a while looking at more photos from Kessingland I think. After she had gone, we watched Charlotte's Web and had ice-cream at 9ish and then F went to bed but didn't go to sleep till 1am apparently (Nintendogs in bed) - I was asleep by half 11, partly through lunchtime wine effects and being out in the sun.
